The Power of the Priesthood

Everything we do in the church is under the power and the authority of the priesthood. The priesthood is the eternal power and authority of God. Its the government of god on earth and in the heavens. Its the most perfect order of government existing. Its given to all worthy men of the church. Those who receive the blessings of it are those who choose good over evil, those who have faith and work in righteousness, improving their lives, and blessing the lives of others. Be worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Magnify your callings and do what is asked by those who have the authority to lead and guide. We are able to receive personal revelation. Also to do temple work which blesses the lives of others and also us as well. "Is any sick among you?  let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."(James 5:14-16)-Blessings of healing. One of the greatest blessings that we can receive is a patriarchal blessing. Its a personal revelation for each of us. It is our personal Liahona to guide, direct, caution, and bless us. All members of the church are equally blessed by the priesthood. The sacrament renews our baptismal covenants and we take upon us the name of Christ. The nature of God, which can help us understand how much Heavenly Father loves us. The priesthood is so powerful, its there so we can receive guidance, it is order. The priesthood was restored by Joseph Smith, and with later visitations from other prophets the fullness of the Gospel was restored in this, the last dispensation. With the priesthood comes great responsibility. The Lord has His eye upon us, He knows us and He is willing and ready to help us fulfill our full potential. Whenever one exercises the priesthood, one is doing the Lord's will, and is on His errand. We all can become what our Heavenly Father wants us to be!!
