every memory matters
Memories are important to us as human beings. They help us to know where we have been, what we have done, how we have grown and changed through the years. They help us to make meaning of our lives and our relationships. They help us to know what our deeply held values are. Memories are important.

BYU Game!! 55-7
I was so thrilled to be able to go to the game today, especially after BYU's bye week and not seeing them play last week. The day was nice and warm, and just perfect for today's game. It started out with two touchdowns in the first qtr, three td and a field goal in the second, two in the third, and a field goal in the last quarter, leaving the score to be BYU 55 and UNLV 7. The team today was unified in their efforts, and worked together and it was great to see it all come together especially after all the struggles so far this season. Looking forward to the rest of the season!!! Just love my boys in blue!!! You did great today!!!

Living A Balanced Life In Christ
Today in Sacrament Meeting, my roommate and friend Katie, spoke and gave a amazing talk on Living a balanced life:
We need to learn to balance our lives, which takes planning and effort, our main goals is to gain immortality and eternal life. Christ is there to help us. Here is a scripture on which we can be a standard for helping us living a balanced life.
"Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;" (Doctrine And Covenants 88:119)
1. FAITH- We need to have faith in Christ and in the Plan of Salvation-because everything that is righteous in our lives is worth it.
2. HOUSE OF PRAYER-Prayer needs to play a big role in our lives. "Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever. Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day. " (Alma 37:36-37) We need to counsel with the Lord daily and often, and when He counsels us we shall never be led astray, and we will feel a comforting peace.
3 HOUSE OF FASTING- Fasting can work in our lives and the Lord will bless us when we fast.
4. HOUSE OF ORDER-"And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order."(Mosiah 4:27) We need to balance each aspect of our lives, too much or too little can be harmful to us. We need to get to know those that are living close to us, to let them know that they are loved. " Where can I turn for peace? Where is my solace When other sources cease to make me whole? When with a wounded heart, anger, or malice. I draw myself apart, searching my soul? Where, when my aching grows, Where, when I languish, Where, in my need to know, where can I run? Where is the quiet hand to calm my anguish? Who can understand? He, only one. He answers privately, Reaches my reaching In my Gethsemane, Savior and Friend. Gentle the peace he find for my beseeching. Constant he is and kind, Love without end."(Hymn "Where Can I Turn For Peace) He is the constant guide and friend, and we can turn to Christ.
2nd Speaker-Richard Anderson:
We need to prioritize our lives so that we many serve the Lord. Christ needs to be first in our lives. Everything we do in this life should be for the betterment of the kingdom. If we stumble, the Atonement is there to lift us up. Love is the center of all, its the healing bond, its a source of power and warms our lives. What we love determines what we seek. Christ will support us in all righteous endeavors that we do. We have a partner (Christ) in all things, put your trust in your Heavenly Father, and we will then find peace. Be wise in your choices. We need to find time to serve one another. Focus on people and principles. We need to know our Brothers and Sisters. Lets catch each other doing things right!!

Book Of The Week
Each week I will be doing a weekly feature of a Book that has truly inspired me in my life and why!!!
So This is My Choice For The Month
Why Do I Love This Book
Well one thing that I love about this book, is that it always inspires, and helps you take on a beautiful journey to come closer to Christ, more than you ever will before. There are 21 sections that talk about a aspect that Christ has taught. For example in the First Day: Come And See which talks about if you want a closer relationship with the Savior than Come and See Christ more fully. This is such a beautiful book with the most awe inspiring art from Simon Dewey, that will definitely shed a tear or two, and take you throughout the scriptures that will delight and bring you such joy. Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone searching for a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. So COME AND SEE!!!!
