I am Back

Its been so crazy that past few weeks, so I apologize for not posting sooner. My sister Jill has been in the hospital for over two weeks now, she has double pneumonia and a rare disease called Lemierres Syndrom. I have been spending alot of my time at the hospital being with her. She loves to have company, and when someone leaves, and you know she wishes they could stay, it just breaks your heart. Now however, we know that she will be heading home soon. The chest tubes are out, she is walking around and finally after two weeks has a appetite so they took the feeding tube out last night. (Boy is that a long tube) LOL She is pretty disappointed she won't be able to go to Mexico,  a trip that she had planned with a friend. Good news is she will be able to finish the semester since her professors are willing to work with her at Utah State. At times like these, it important to remember the important things in life and hold dear to them. Life is so precious, and so short at times. We had a scare, that when she was first admitted to the hospital, the doctors thought she might have Lukemia, and when I heard that I was more scared than ever, because I realized how much I loved my sister and how special and dear she is to me, and to many around her, and how many lives she has blessed!! We are so blessed to have the Gospel, and the people around us that love and care for us and each other. We should never forget how important our time her on earth is, and to hold dear to every moment that passes and make the best of it!!!

Hey! Not sure how I found your blog BUT I had Lemierre's 2 years ago. It was the scariest thing ever. I would love to talk to your sister because I have never met anyone who had it as well. It's really rare. They thought I had luekemia too. I also pnuemonia, pancreatitis, liver & kidney failure. I was in ICU for 2 weeks then regular hospital care for an additional 2.
